Cart Lodge - My 40th Weekend

My favourite pic of the weekend, which goes to show you CAN win everything with kids!

Thanks everyone for a memorable weekend x

And on the 40th day it took form. And it was good.

To get your bearings in both the below images, find the triangular red brick buttress holding up the boundary wall (top, centre-ish in both). In the first image, you will see it has two steep tiers of garden and wall in front of it. In the second image, all those tiers have been excavated, with retaining walls and a 3m x 4m patio created in the foreground. What you cannot see until I get more photos up, is that the edge of the house (in white brick) you see in image 1 now extends over 1m further into the garden and will squared off in glass, rather than the previous, unusable rotting hexagon bay.

Almost there. Almost out of cash. Sanity almost lost. Would have made a good docco. Squeaky bum time ...

The 10 month weigh in

Weight - ISQ (in status quo)

I could look at this as missing my goals for yet another month, but that would be awfully 'glass half empty' wouldn't it. No, I think I will focus on the positive - I have not done any exercise training now since July, and yet my weight has remained stable for the last 3 month since returning from Summer Hols, at 74-75kg. This means my dietary habits must be fine. And the lack of insidious gain surely attributable to the continuing abstinence. Result. I have now maintained, give or take, my 'new' old weight for 4 months. As mentioned previously, my nutrionist colleague says the memory in fat cells can be permanently adapted by keeping the weight lost lost for 6 months or more, "otherwise they are hungry for reabsorption, if old dietary habits return when new rules fall by the wayside". So 2 months to go and I may have achieved a significant metabolic milestone.

Time will tell. So good news to a degree, to usher in mid-life - my 40th in less than two very short feeling weeks ... Cue middle of the night wake up in cold sweat type panic.
