I've been driving in my car ..

well trying to anyway .. Madness! Been trying to identify and buy a car. Need one for my new job. A new reality living in the sticks. Researching an appropriate/ preferred vehicle was a chore. Not half as much as trying to buy one. Recession? What Recession? The folks at Toyota certainly aren't aware of it. Sales up 15%-20% on last year. Apparently benefitting from being the kind of car cheaper owners aspire too and that luxury owners drop back to.  Bien Joue. The upshot - after painstakingly deciding on model and price, there aren't now any available! The can't sell me one even if they want to apparently. Now waiting on a call from guy who might be able to get a hold of one. Was told he'd call me back in an hour. Eager for a sale? My arse. Not the kind of buying experience I was hoping for at all. Parting with large sums of cash should surely be more pleasurable than this, no? Such is life!
