Stop the press

Just found out i am an international business leader?! They must have mistakenly thought my annual earnings were monthly ... Spectacularly poor/ fine example of direct marketing gone wrong, sending this to a low grade health worker ... Must be the post code. Still friday night and wot a lovely ego boost to take me into the weekend. May even believe it after a few beers. Altho, Having not even been paid this month by dark ages HR, its unlikely!

More holes than a Dutch cheese
not had much opportunity to 'blog' lately, despite the 2 months off between jobs. If I had, I might have been able to reflect more completely on some of the 'gaps' in brain-dumping the last few months; and so written with more energy about my emergency landing in the Azores when my return flight from Tobago lost its right engine over the Atlantic. I might have have documented with more passion the frustrations, paranoia, unease and occasional excitement with which I researched, viewed, test drove and eventually bought my new car - which now sits gleaming outside on the street, as yet still undriven (by me), pending my practical test and an opportunity to have a lesson without a child in the back. Buying my first car in the UK is an experience I will quite happily (and strenuously) seek to avoid for the next 10 years (as i have managed successfully for the last 20!). Hence the choice of car that will hopefully be robust enough to last at least that long and beyond .. perhaps I will have more time to reflect on the ghastly experience down the line.
Have done some handy DIY in the 'Knowledge' (spare) room and learned that you can drill relatively easily through metal with the correct drill bit. And just as easily throw your money down the drain, if you use said metal drill bit on anything else other than ... uh .. metal (miscommunication that between me and S my old London neighbour and King of DIY). I now know what makes floating shelves float ...
Have revised for and passed the driving theory test. Pretty stressful really despite the great results. Typically, I gave myself 48hrs to revise. I wish I could get paid to excel at leaving things till the very last minute. I will never learn. Until I get my fingers seriously burned, I guess. Better stay out of emergency care. Although having said that - have been doing that for last 18months and no one died. Alongside blowing spit bubbles, this must be my special skill -Academic brinkmanship. Started a new community physio job this week. Early doors and in induction week so not much to say about that yet. God I am boring myself here. Talk about a post for the sake of posting. Should have done it when I had something to think about what was going on. This wouldn't be the first yawn-worthy drivvle and I am sure it isn't going to be the last.

My arm bone's

Connected to my ... Elbow. And here's a pic to prove it ... Kinda. Unrestricted view of stage from our vantage point last nite at elbow gig - my xmas gift from m. Loved it. Outstanding voice. Outstanding tracks. Pretty charismatic performance given type of music. Top nite. Tiny chilled out venue the brighton dome, for enjoying the brits best band winners a wk or two after them winning the acolade. Quality eve all round. Thank you x
